Wallis Computer Solutions: IT company looking for ‘non-woke’ applicants to join their team in controversial job ad
- An IT company wants to hire someone
- The applicant must not be ‘woke’
A small IT company is looking for a ‘non-woke’ technician to join their crew, specifically one who values ‘diversity of thought’.
Wallis Computer Solutions in Dalwallinu, Western Australia, uploaded the job ad on Seek for an experienced MSP L2+ Technician last week.
Despite the small-scale of their outfit and their rural location, they’ve got the attention of job seekers who wouldn’t mind raking in $90,000 per year.
‘We are looking for an MSP technician who is now looking for a position in a company who is not woke and values diversity of thought,’ the advertisement read.

All prospective employees are expected to understand key concepts, including gender
Prospective employees will not be asked about their vaccination history or be expected to use a person’s preferred pronouns.
‘No requirements for pronouns, we know what a woman is and you will never be forced to get any medical treatment,’ the ad read.
‘You are not required to have COVID vaccine or any other vaccine to work,’ the ad continued.
As a cherry on top, workers would also have the option to work exclusively from home.
In the week since the ad was posted online it has circled around numerous groups where commenters have been left divided on whether it was a red flag or a breath of fresh air.
‘Terribly unprofessional and a red flag for anyone with a brain. Who cares on someone’s political convictions. Just do your job and act professional,’ one person said.
‘Sound like a bunch of snowflakes. Talk about being easily offended,’ a second wrote.
‘Regardless of your political/religious/social views or beliefs, I think it’s a good thing when people openly tell you who they are and what they’re like so you know what you’re getting beforehand,’ a third countered.
The salary ranges from $65,000 to $90,000 plus Super and bonuses, but if anyone was willing to move to Dalwallinu it would ‘definitely help in your negotiations’.
Dalwallinu is a regional town which is 250km from Perth, and has a population of just over 1,300.
This isn’t the first time Wallis Computer Solutions has reached out to free-thinkers, as last year they uploaded a near-identical ad.

Managing director Nathanael Wallis shared the vacancy to LinkedIn for an ‘unvaxxed Remote MSP Technician job’ in 2022.
The company thought it was necessary to clarify their stance on vaccinations, which Mr Wallis said had become a ‘contentious’ topic.
‘Prior to the advent of the Covid-19 vaccine, I expressed to our team my conviction that medical decisions should remain a personal choice,’ he told news.com.au.
‘I firmly stand by this position. It has always been, and will continue to be, the prerogative of our staff members to decide whether or not they wish to receive vaccinations (or any medical treatment).
