We all focus on the perfect gift, the perfect meal, and we want to make everyone happy. We try to find the perfect tree, and, if you’re anything like me, you want a white Christmas. It becomes the same routine every year but have you ever stopped and thought about the true meaning of Christmas.
Remember when Christmas was full of wonder? Have you ever thought of the first Christmas?
The first Christmas was in a lowly manger. There were no Christmas trees or decorations, and the guests were lowly Shephards. Have you ever wondered what it would have been like to witness the birth of the Baby Jesus, the first gift of Christmas?
It is a Gift because God sent his only son to save us by dying on the cross. That is the true reason we celebrate Christmas. Jesus is the reason for the season, the light of the world, and the prince of peace.
So celebrate this season with laughter, spread joy and love, share it with friends and family. But always take the time to remember the true meaning of Christmas, and do not be afraid to say Merry Christmas.
Remember, Jesus is the reason for the season, our greatest gift.
