The hosts of ABC’s “The View” gushed over Joe Biden’s 2024 presidential announcement, showering him with praise as the only man who can heal a divided America.
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin claimed Biden “is champing at the bit to run against Trump or Ron DeSantis. He’s going after – He’s rightly saying, ‘Oh, they’re going to target LGBTQ individuals, they’re going to go after abortion rights.’”
Griffin implored Republicans to choose a more “moderate” candidate, asking the party, “Are you tired of losing?”
“Because if Chris Sununu, for example – I know I hype him a lot – but if a moderate, middle-of-the-road person who wants to run on the economy, on inflation, on border security got in, none of those attacks apply. He’s not targeting those,” she said, seemingly unaware that Biden once said in 2012 the GOP ticket of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan would put blacks “back in chains.”
Co-host Sara Haines characterized Biden as a “soul cycle instructor.”
“You can do this, go to the top of the mountain,” she said. “I believe in the soul cycle vision. You have to be hopeful. And I think that’s what works in this country when you’re a politician.”
“And I’ve always held onto that no matter how divisive this country gets, that I believe there is so much potential when we harness it together,” she added.
