Former Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard warned that the arrest of former President Donald Trump by his political enemies marks a “dangerous turning point” in American history.
“This politicized indictment of former President Donald Trump is unfortunately just the latest example of how the Democrat establishment continues to put their own personal and political interests ahead of the interests of the American people and our country,” Gabbard said Friday in a statement on Twitter.

“Make no mistake, this is a despicable and extremely dangerous turning point for our country and our democracy,” she added.
The former Democrat also joined Fox News’ “Hannity” on Friday to break down how Democrats, particularly former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, have reacted to Trump’s indictment and how it bodes terribly for the country.
“The fact she does not understand the most basic foundation of our judicial system, that we are innocent until proven guilty, should be deeply concerning,” Gabbard said, “because she’s one of the most powerful people in the country, walking the halls of the place that makes these laws, that takes an oath to support the Constitution to defend our rights, but she doesn’t even seem to know what those rights are.”

Gabbard left the Democratic Party in October 2022 claiming the party had been hijacked by a “cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness.”
“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party. It’s now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoking anti-white racism, who actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms enshrined in our Constitution,” Gabbard said in a video posted to social media.
Trump is expected to appear in a Manhattan courthouse on Tuesday for his arraignment on multiple counts related to an alleged hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.
