Several left-wing media outlets falsely reported that conservative commentator Michael Knowles called for transgender people to be “eradicated” during his CPAC speech.
Knowles had delivered a speech Friday calling for the ideological underpinnings of transgenderism to be eradicated.
“If it is false, then for the good of society, and especially for the good of the poor people who have fallen prey to this confusion, transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely. The whole preposterous ideology at every level,” Knowles said.
He is of course completely right about this. Trangenderism as a concept and an ideology is false, poisonous, and destructive to both the individual and society. It needs to be destroyed entirely. The fight to save children from this lunacy is but one phase in the overall war. https://t.co/vn2YpIjiLW

Shortly after, The Daily Beast, HuffPo, and Rolling Stone published false headlines claiming Knowles essentially called for transgender genocide:
The phony narrative was also amplified by the likes of Democrat state senator Scott Weiner (Calif.).
“‘Transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely.’ These words were in a speech by a major right wing figure at a national conservative conference. It’s a straight up call for genocide. That’s what this fight is about. They want us gone,” Weiner tweeted.

Daily Wire VP of PR Alyssa Cordova called for the publications to retract their fake headlines, including a screenshot of each one.
“We are demanding full retractions and apologies from @thedailybeast, @HuffPost, and @RollingStone for their false and libelous claims about @michaeljknowles, and have referred these all to our General Counsel,” she tweeted Sunday.

Knowles also singled out The Daily Beast after they “stealth-edited” their headline rather than issue a correction or retraction.
I’m pleased to see that @thedailybeast‘s lawyers scrambled to make them stealth-edit their defamatory headline about me. Unfortunately, this tweak does not constitute a retraction of the article, which remains libelous. https://t.co/TLkCne3sp2 pic.twitter.com/kvL61u11eZ

Rolling Stone changed their headline to, “CPAC Speaker Calls for Transgenderism to Be ‘Eradicated.’”
HuffPo still has not retracted or corrected its headline as of this writing.
Other left-wing outlets like Jezebel are still falsely claiming Knowles’ wants to mass murder transgender people.
The left-wing headlines have already inspired death threats against Knowles, journalist Andy Ngo reported.

“I foolishly thought people might understand the meaning of words,” Knowles reflected about his speech.
