President Joe Biden said he was not on vacation at Rehoboth Beach house.
The President said the Secret Service was working on his Wilmington, Delaware home to “make it secure.”
“The reason I’m here today, just for one day — I know people [say] I’m on vacation, I’m not,” Biden said while leaving mass at St. Edmond Roman Catholic Church. “I have no home to go to.”
“Secret Service has torn my house up in a good way to make it secure,” he said. “So I have no place to go when I come to Delaware except here right now. I’m only here for one day.”
A reporter asked if the President was homeless, to which Biden responded, “Oh, I’m not homeless. I just have one home. I have a beautiful home.”
“I’m down here for the day because I can’t go home.”

According to the New York Post, Biden has claimed his Wilmington, Delaware home has been under renovations, including installing bullet-proof glass, since April.
President Biden told pool reporters Secret Service is doing work at his Wilmington home and he referred specifically to bulletproof glass at his residence. He said he is going to be at the beach instead when he returns to Delaware after this overseas trip.

On Monday, Biden spoke in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at a rally for the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO).
Biden recently said he hasn’t visited East Palestine, Ohio, following a train derailment and hazardous waste spill earlier this year, citing a busy schedule.
“I haven’t had the occasion to go to East Palestine,” Biden told reporters Saturday. “There’s a lot going on here, and I just haven’t been able to break.”
In March, the President said he would visit East Palestine “at some point,” though he did not specify when.
According to a recent study by The Post, Biden spent roughly 40% of his presidency on personal overnight trips away from the White House.
According to the research, Former President Donald Trump spent 26% of his four-year presidency on personal trips outside Washington D.C..
“With the amount of time this president is spending away from the White House, visitor records should be made public from all of Joe Biden’s residences,” said Kentucky representative and committee chairman James Comer. “Americans deserve the transparency they were promised from the Biden administration. All they are getting is obstruction.”
“Just as a matter of respect to the American people, he should show us who’s going to be there — especially considering the track record,” said Heritage Foundation Fellow Joel Griffith. “We know that Biden was for a time unlawfully storing documents in his garage in Delaware, and his son . . . appears to have some very shady business dealings. I think that we’re entitled to know who else is there with him.”
