Candace Cameron Bure told her followers on Tuesday that her upcoming film, “My Christmas Hero,” will honor U.S. veterans.
The 47-year-old actress posted a screenshot of a headline from Deadline magazine that read, “Candace Cameron Bure To Play U.S. Army Reservist In Next Great American Family Holiday Movie.”
She captioned her post, “Very excited to present another Great American Christmas film this year with [Candy Rock Entertainment], and so proud of this movie and all it represents! ‘My Christmas Hero’ will premiere later this year on [Great American Family and GAC Living].”
The “Full House” star will play U.S. Army Reservist Nicole Ramsey, who is “dedicated to helping military service members and their families, this Christmas” and “with the help of many heroes she will be on a mission to honor a fallen soldier and bring much needed healing to this family,” a description on IMDb read.
“We are proud to tell a story that honors our U.S. veterans this Christmas season,” Bure told the outlet. “From WW2 to present day veterans, we shine the spotlight on their heroic work as well as aftercare needs. We have a talented cast and crew and are thrilled to bring it to our Great American Family audience.”
The movie is the latest from the “Fuller House” star, who recently spoke about her faith and thanked God for taking her out of acting for 10 years. She said during that time off she’s realized he wanted her to become “a disciple for” him, as previously reported.
Bure said when her career started she didn’t have a focus on God and believes he took her out of the business for a decade to change her priorities and worldview.
“Being a Christian was just a compartment of my life,” the actress said. “And during that season of motherhood, which I focused on my relationship with God, I then actually started walking the walk.”

“And I think about the ten years that I thought I was going to continue working, and yet God was like ‘nope, I’m going to take you out for 10 years because I’m going to build your character. I’m going to build your worldview,’” she added. “Which has become a biblical worldview.”
Bure’s upcoming movie will be part of the network’s Great American Christmas, which returns in October and runs through the end of the year, the outlet noted.
