Come with Timothée and you’ll be … in a world of pure imagination.
Timothée Chalamet channeled his “Wonka” character at the movie’s premiere in Tokyo Monday, with the actor nodding to Willy Wonka’s famous purple coat — and getting quite a few viral reactions on social media — with his two-piece leather look.
The “Dune” star, 27, wore a lavender leather Prada shirt tucked into a pair of matching trousers on the red carpet, pairing the set with chunky white Chelsea boots.
He wore the shirt unbuttoned and his collar popped up in a very Elvis-like fashion to show off a chunky diamond chain, keeping the bling going with three gleaming diamond rings.
Chalamet — who is currently dating Kylie Jenner, 26 — wore his hair in his signature curly style as he posed with fans outside the theater.
Chalamet plays a young Willy Wonka in the film — which also stars Hugh Grant, Olivia Colman and Rowan Atkinson — exploring how the character meets the Oompa Loompas and creates his chocolate empire ahead of the events in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”
While the “Little Women” star looked confident in his shiny Prada look, social media users weren’t so sure about his purple vibes.

“oh lilac-rubber-elvis-wonka” a third Twitter user joked.
Chalamet also shared some images from the event on Instagram, with the official Instagram account declaring, “you invented purple.”
His red carpet moment follows another leather look from the actor, who channeled his girlfriend’s new Khy clothing line in a long “Matrix” style black latex trench coat by Avellano while arriving in Japan Saturday.
Stay tuned for more chocolate factory fashion as the Wonka press continues.
