A new report from Daily Mail claims that the Manhattan Judge overseeing the persecution of 45th President Donald J. Trump will implement a gag order over the case on Monday, barring President Trump from discussing his arrest, which is planned for Tuesday, and anything else related to the case. Violating the gag order, which many consider unconstitutional, will carry 30 days in jail.
The exclusive Daily Mail report says that Manhattan’s Acting Supreme Court Judge, Juan Merchan, who is overseeing the case against Trump being pursued by left-wing Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, is preparing to announce the gag order on Monday. Doing so will block President Trump, who is not just a former President but an active 2024 candidate for President, from discussing the case, with the threat of jail time looming over him if he does.
The Trump legal team is reportedly planning to fight the gag order. If it stands, the American People will be kept in the dark about the case against President Trump, which legal and constitutional experts have resoundingly labeled a political persecution, not a legitimate criminal case.
Assuming the gag order is implemented on Monday, President Trump will likely be unable to deliver his scheduled address to the American People, which he planned to give upon flying home to Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday, after his arrest and arraignment.
According to Daily Mail:
‘The Trump legal team now thinks that the Manhattan judge will take the unprecedented step of silencing the presidential frontrunner with an unconstitutional gag order tomorrow,’ said a source.
‘The Trump legal team is considering adding a First Amendment lawyer to the effort to combat this and will fight it all the way.’
In a statement he posted to Truth Social, President Trump blasted Judge Merchan, calling him the “hand picked” judge of Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg and company.
Merchan has previously overseen cases related to the New York legal vendetta against Trump and, according to the 45th President, “railroaded” the CFO of the Trump Organization in the process.
