Freedom Caucus Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) is floating a moratorium on all foreign aid, as a result of the United States sending a whopping $200 billion to Ukraine in support of its Soros-backed revolution and ongoing war against Russia.
“America has sent over $200 billion to Ukraine despite all of the problems were have here at home,” Gosar, one of the most vocally America First members of Congress, wrote in a tweet.
“Would you support a total moratorium on all foreign aid?” he asked.
Responses to Gosar’s tweet have been overwhelmingly in favor of cutting all US foreign aid, a position increasingly taken by conservatives, especially those within the America First wing of conservatism.
Currently, the US leads the entire world in cash given to Ukraine, contributing more than $200 billion to the Zelensky government since 2022. This massive pile of taxpayer-funded “foreign aid” comes in addition to the billions of dollars sent to Ukraine over the years, especially since cash infusions to the Ukrainian government were kicked into overdrive following 2014’s Soros and Obama-backed color revolution, which saw the democratically elected, pro-Russia government of Ukraine overthrown through violent street demonstrations and armed confrontations.
Rep. Gosar has previously called for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine to end the ongoing war, which has cost hundreds of thousands of lives, largely due to Ukraine’s refusal to allow pro-Russia regions of the country, which are populated by super-majorities of ethnic Russians, to peacefully secede, and join Russia.
As National File previously reported:
Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, inviting them to Phoenix, Arizona to engage in peace talks, away from globalist war hawks and other influences with a vested interest in triggering World War 3.
“I’m writing to each of you, or your delegates, with an invitation to come to Phoenix, Arizona to engage in peace talks,” Gosar (R-AZ-4), who’s been an outspoken voice for peace, wrote in his letter to the Eastern European leaders.
Gosar’s call for peace talks apparently went unanswered, and in other instances, the Ukrainians have refused to come to the table with their Russian foes to discuss ending the war.

While a key issue among America First conservatives, opposition to continued American financial and military support of Ukraine has even appealed to some on the left, with ending the “proxy war” between the US and Russia ranking high on Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s campaign platform.
In a recent Fox News interview, RFK Jr was shut down by Neil Cavuto when he compared the ongoing conflict and the expansion of NATO to the Cuban missile crisis.
