Oklahoma authorities accuse Democrat Trans Activists Austin Ross and Savanna Mitchell of assaulting Oklahoma State Representative Bob Ed Culver, a Republican, and an Oklahoma state trooper. The assault took place on February 28th at the Oklahoma State Capitol Building. Following the assault, Austin Ross hid from authorities in a Democrat lawmaker’s office. The mainstream media has largely ignored this story.
Chaos broke out at the Oklahoma State Capital after HB 2177, barring sex changes on minors, passed the Oklahoma House. The chaos resulted in Oklahoma authorities charging Austin Ross with assault and battery on a police officer. One video shows Austin Ross throwing water at Oklahoma State Representative Bob Cluver (R-OK). Another video of the incident shows Savanna Mitchell assaulting Oklahoma law enforcement while Ross screams at the officers.
Here’s the beginning of the incident, you can see water being thrown from a transgender rights activist. It looks like the water hits Rep. Bob Culver (who didn’t debate the bill). He did vote for it though. pic.twitter.com/wCI8yrYKGp

Following the assault, Austin Ross escaped authorities and hid in the office of Oklahoma Representative Mauree Turner, a Democrat. Turner’s office locked their door, preventing authorities from arresting Mr. Ross that day.
On March 7th, the Oklahoma House of Representatives voted to censure Rep. Turner for her actions. Oklahoma House Speaker Charles McCall said, “I want to make something very clear I will not allow members of the House of Representatives to use their House-assigned offices and official positions to impede law enforcement from carrying out investigations or making arrests in the State Capitol, The inappropriate, and potentially criminal, actions exhibited by this member of the House were deserving of censure, and the actions taken by the House today were both measured and just.”
Mauree Turner lists herself as nonbinary and does not apologize for her actions after being censured. “I think an apology for loving the people of Oklahoma is something that I cannot do. It’s something that I actively refuse to do,” Turner said.
Oklahoma House Democratic Leader Cyndi Munson still supports Mauree Turner. “It’s clear what they’re trying to do is silence a member who does not think like them, act like them, dress like them, who challenges their positions, especially when they are running legislation to harm people in our community,” Munson said in response to Turner’s censure.
Mainstream media outlets, which in the past have made unfounded claims of Republican members of Congress giving Congressional access to so-called extremists, have remained silent on Mauree Turner’s actions.
