AUGUSTA, Ga. (TCD) — A 50-year-old woman was arrested this week after she allegedly drove her car into a local Popeyes because her order did not have any biscuits in it.
Richmond County Jail records show Belinda Miller was taken into custody Wednesday, Feb. 22, on charges of criminal damage to property and aggravated assault.
According to the arrest warrant cited by WJBF-TV, on Saturday, Feb. 18, Miller reportedly placed an order at the Popeyes at Walton Way and became upset after seeing her order did not include the fast-food chain’s famous biscuits. After getting in her car, she reportedly crashed through the restaurant’s doors and walls, then continued another several feet into the establishment.
She reportedly almost hit an 18-year-old employee with her SUV.
WJBF reports debris in the building prevented her from driving any further.
The store’s manager told officials they gave her biscuits before the crash, but she was still angry.
The Augusta Chronicle reports Miller had allegedly threatened Popeyes employees in the past and even said she would crash her car through the restaurant.
Miller allegedly fled the scene following the incident, but officials located her car, which sustained damage to the front, at her home.
