LINCOLN, Neb. (TCD) — A 27-year-old woman is being charged with murder after she allegedly struck two maintenance workers “purposely” near an apartment complex.
According to the Lincoln Police Department, on Monday, March 27, at 1:22 p.m., officers went to The Lodge Apartments at 4600 Briarpark Drive, where they found the two deceased male victims in their 40s. Officers located the suspect, Taylor Bradley, nearby and she was taken into custody without incident.
In an updated statement, Lincoln Police said Bradley lived in the apartment complex. She was initially booked on charges of second-degree murder, but police said evidence and witness statements showed Bradley allegedly had “intent” to hit the victims. The two men, both of whom were maintenance workers at The Lodge Apartments, were reportedly hit and killed about 20 to 30 yards off the road.
Bradley’s charges, however, have reportedly recently been upgraded to first-degree murder. Court documents cited by KOLN-TV allege Bradley struck Chris Karmazin and Ronald Gonzalez “seconds apart.” Bradley is also being charged with attempted first-degree murder and three counts of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
Her bond is reportedly set at $2 million.
