MESA, Ariz. (TCD) — A 28-year-old teacher’s aide faces charges after allegedly sexually abusing a 9-year-old female student with a stethoscope.
According to a news release from the Mesa Police Department, on Tuesday, March 28, officers responded to Lehi Elementary School on North Stapley after a 9-year-old girl said Antonio Jordan “had touched her inappropriately the day before” and possibly “recorded it on his cellphone.”
The 9-year-old girl told police that Jordan “told her to stay behind and pull up her shirt,” and he allegedly placed his hands on her chest.
Police interviewed Jordan the next day, and he told investigators he had a “stethoscope fetish,” and he chose to abuse the victim “because of her interest in a stethoscope he brought to class.”
According to KTVK-TV, Jordan told detectives he did record the abuse, but he didn’t share it on the internet and deleted the video when he was placed on leave.
However, during a search of his cellphone, officials reportedly found three videos of Jordan abusing the victim. Police said in the videos, Jordan is seen using the “stethoscope on the victim’s body” and touching her inappropriately while the two are alone in the classroom.
Jordan was arrested and charged with three counts of sexual abuse. Jordan has since been terminated from the school, KTVK reports.
