15-year-old boy shot on street in Harlem, cops seek 2 suspects

A 15-year-old boy was shot and wounded in Harlem late Sunday, sparking a manhunt for two suspects, police said.

Gunfire erupted around 9:45 p.m. near a subway station at West 135th Street and Lenox Avenue in Manhattan, just steps away from Harlem Hospital, cops said.

The teenage victim was transported by first responders to an area hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to the stomach. He is expected to recover.

Cops who were called to the scene of the shooting recovered a firearm and four shell casings from beneath a parked car.

Police are searching for two unidentified suspects in connection with the attack. No motive has been released so far.

According to police sources, the 15-year–old victim has a history of run-ins with the law, including an arrest last week on two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

Sources said the teen was found in possession of a loaded gun on University Avenue in The Bronx on Feb. 21.

His record includes seven unsealed arrests on charges of assault and false impersonation. The teen also has one sealed arrest.
