‘We are not dating’: Shawn Mendes, 24, SHUTS DOWN relationship rumors with Sabrina Carpenter, 23, as fans speculate he is dating 51-year-old chiropractor Jocelyne Miranda

Shawn Mendes squashed rumors that he is dating fellow musician Sabrina Carpenter during an interview on Friday.

While promoting his new partnership with Tommy Hilfiger, the Stitches singer told the Dutch TV program RTL Boulevard that they ‘are not dating.’ 

‘But I think we should talk about Tommy Hilfiger probably more than Sabrina. Thank you,’ he added, before making it clear that he would like to change the subject. 

Dating rumors have swirled around the two since February, when the gossip blog DeuxMoi wrote that they were ‘clearly on a date’ at the famous restaurant Horses in Los Angeles, where they appeared to be ‘very comfortable.’ 

They didn’t do anything to dispel the rumors when they were seen a week later on a stroll in LA as they ran some errands together.

Sabrina has been preparing for her Emails I Can’t Send tour, which will crisscross North America from March through May 20 before moving on to South America, Europe, and parts of Southeast Asia.

The petite blonde has also been signed to star in an upcoming Alice in Wonderland musical for Netflix.

The 24-year-old hitmaker was more recently connected to chiropractor Dr. Jocelyne Miranda, 51, who is more than twice his age.

The two were seen hiking together as Shawn showed off his muscular torso while shirtless on February 21 in Los Angeles, but neither has commented on the nature of their relationship. 

Before the latest dating rumors, the In My Blood singer was in a relationship with fellow singer–songwriter Camila Cabello.

She and the Canadian heartthrob started their relationship in July 2019, and they spent much of the early pandemic quarantining together but split in November 2021.

Shawn was supposed to be touring this year as well but paused the show back in July. The break was initially supposed to be for a few weeks, but the Treat You Better singer decided he needed more time to work on his mental health.

Shawn recently collaborated with Tommy Hilfiger on the new Tommy x Shawn campaign that was shared on his Instagram account on Wednesday.  

The Treat You Better singer revealed his toned chest alongside several other models, including Elon Musk’s mother, Maye, while showing off several offerings from his new collection with Hilfiger.

Break: Shawn has taken a break from touring to focus on his mental health. He leant his talent and his voice to the title character in the family film Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile which was released in October 2022

The There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back singer described the items in his collection as ‘clothing made from discarded fabrics, colored with memories and reborn into new icons.’

The singer-songwriter also discussed the way that the collection’s offerings had been designed.

‘I think shape is really important and the shapes are not exactly the way they were in the 90s. They were inspired by the 90s,’ he said.

Mendes then expressed gratitude towards Hilfiger himself for bringing him in to work with the brand.
