Thomas Ravenel revealed he broke seven bones and punctured his lungs in a polo accident.
The 60-year-old reality star, who announced the news via his Instagram page on Sunday, said he spent four days in the hospital recovering from his injuries.
‘Out of commission for awhile,’ the former Southern Charm star wrote on the post, adding a snap of himself in his polo uniform.
‘Just spent 4 days in the hospital. Had a polo accident broke 7 bones and puncturing my lungs,’ he added.
‘But don’t worry. I’ll live. If, I don’t die. J/k. I’ll be back in 7 weeks. When they took the x-rays, they said, “you’ve broken these bones before.” I was a bit surprised. Didn’t know broken bones left scars,’ Thomas said.

Thomas’ accident comes months after he was awarded full custody of his two children with ex Kathryn Dennis, The Sun reported.
The duo share kids Kensington, eight, and Saint, six.
The outlet revealed earlier this year that Thomas was given sole custody in February after Kathryn reportedly ‘failed drug tests.’
Kathryn, 31, has supervised visits on Saturdays and Sundays, per The Sun.
She reportedly tested positive for ‘three illegal drugs,’ The Sun reported.
‘Thomas won the court case and was granted sole custody of the kids,’ their source added.
‘Thomas’ legal team had affidavits from the speech therapists, an occupational therapist, physical therapist and play therapists that the children were making tremendous progress under his parenting,’ The Sun’s insider noted.
‘They were doing well in school, enjoying play dates and were happy. They love school and living in Aiken. So far everything is going well. Kathryn has been adhering surprisingly well to the order. Thomas wishes the best for her,’ the source said.
Thomas originally filed for sole custody in 2020, with Kathryn temporarily losing custody in 2021.
In 2021, after he was temporarily awarded full custody, his attorney said: ‘I can confirm the information released last week that Ms. Dennis currently has weekend, daytime supervised visitation with the parties’ minor children and that Mr. Ravenel plans to relocate with the children to Aiken, South Carolina this summer.’

‘Due to the sensitive nature of the issues involved, all documents in this case have been sealed, meaning the public cannot access them, and neither Mr. Ravenel, Ms. Dennis, nor their respective attorneys are permitted to release them to third parties,’ the statement continued.
‘As such, and in keeping with the spirit of the protective order, I will not go into detail regarding the circumstances that necessitated the changes to the parties’ custodial arrangement.’
Kathryn and Thomas previously shared joint custody of their children, and the arrangement worked well for the exes, according to the Southern Charm star.
‘We actually have a great coparenting relationship,’ she told Us Weekly in November 2019.
‘It’s good for him, it’s good for me. We’re moving forward, which is the first time I’ve said that in a long time and it feels good.’
The positive words strikes a contrast to their otherwise ugly custody battle, with Thomas accusing Kathryn of being addicted to prescription medications and marijuana, among other allegations. Dennis denied the accusations.
