She is 18-year-old Jaya Harper.
Jaya is the daughter of Laura Dern and Ben Harper who were wed from 2005 until 2013.
Now she is trying to make her own way as an actress in Hollywood.
Laura Dern is known for her indie hits like Wild Heart with Nicolas Cage and Rambling Rose with Robert Duvall.
And she was in the blockbuster Jurassic Park movies, also making a return for the latest Jurassic World flick.
More recently she was a part of The Big Little Lies series with Reese, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley.
Dern won an Oscar in 2020 for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Marriage Story. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Wild in 2015, and for Best Actress in 1992 for Rambling Rose.
The teen’s father is 53-year-old musician Ben Harper, who plays an eclectic mix of blues, folk, soul, reggae, and rock music and is known for his guitar-playing skills, vocals, live performances, and activism.

And her grandfather is 86-year-old Bruce Dern, also Oscar nominated. In the 1970s he starred in The Cowboys and Silent Running.
More recently, he played the old man whose ranch was invaded by Manson hippies in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood opposite Brad Pitt.

The mother/daughter pair were last seen at the 2nd Annual Academy Museum Gala at Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles in 2022.
Laura looked elegant in a ruby red dress wit gold heels as her little girl went with blue and black.
Earlier this year Laura revealed that she is making Jaya wait until she is older to go into show business.
Jaya has already decided she wants to follow her mother’s footsteps into the acting profession but is being made to focus on her studies for the moment.
While on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Laura explained that her own experiences of becoming an actress at 11 have influenced her decision to make Jaya wait.

She confessed to Ellen that ‘there is something very moving about’ her daughter’s desire to act as the career runs in the family.
Laura also has a 20-year-old son called Ellery, who wants to be a musician like his father Ben.
While on Ellen’s show Laura said of her daughter that ‘I’m so happy that she’s waiting and wants to go to school but really knows in her heart she wants to act.’

Laura, who has acted in multiple films with her own mother, said: ‘And maybe if she does we’ll end up having the privilege of working together one day.’
However Laura also disclosed that she was the one insisting that Jaya wait a little longer before venturing into the entertainment industry.
The actress acknowledged that Jaya ‘does often say: “You didn’t wait!” and yeah, basically, I make her wait.’
When Ellen asked if Laura wishes Bruce and Diane had made her wait, Laura considered the question and replied: ‘In a way.’
She added however that she ‘forced’ her parents to let her act, ‘and I lied and I pushed and I lied about age.’
