Taylor Swift’s upcoming tour documentary prompted producers of horror film, The Exorcist: Believer, to move up their release date.
After it was announced on Thursday that the 33-year-old hitmaker’s Eras Tour documentary would be coming to theaters on spooky day October 13, the same day as the Exorcist, the film’s date was quickly changed to avoid an overlap.
The Exorcist is now set to drop in theaters everywhere on October 6th. Jason Blum, a producer on the film had the perfect quip in response to the change.
Taking to his Twitter, Jason jokingly blamed the date shift on Taylor’s film, writing, ‘Look what you made me do!’
Adding an extra layer of humor to the tweet, the film producer added the hashtag, #taylorwins. The Lavender Haze songstress has yet to publicly comment on The Exorcist: Believer’s new release date.

Taylor announced on Instagram for her millions of followers that, ‘The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon.’
She ramped up anticipation for her fans by adding, ‘Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged.’
Movie ticketing websites are already preparing to brace their servers for the ticket-buying demands of dedicated Swifties who couldn’t make the Eras tour in person.
According to NPR, AMC for example has already increased its website and servers to, ‘more than five times the largest influx of ticket-buying traffic the company has ever experienced before.’
Noted concert film director Sam Wrench (he’s directed concert films for Billie Eilish, Jennifer Lopez, BTS and Pentatonix, to name a few) will be behind the lens for the Taylor Swift Eras concert tour movie experience.
Michael O’Leary, president and CEO of the National Association of Theatre Owners, relayed his excitement for the Eras tour film hitting theaters via an official statement — ‘The only place where you can replicate the global excitement of Taylor Swift’s live concerts is inside a movie theater with immersive, state-of-the-art projection and sound alongside a vocal crowd of passionate fans,’ according to USA Today.
He praised the Evermore songstress for making her tour accessible for everyone, adding the blonde beauty will show, ‘The true potential of what a concert film can do in theaters. This is a great opportunity for fans to experience a huge cultural phenomenon in a very accessible way.’
Meanwhile, the actual Eras tour will continue on into 2024.
The Bad Blood vocalist will take her Eras tour across the globe to Mexico, Japan, Australia, South America, and Europe, before returning to North America to conclude the tour.

The Exorcist: Believer, which debuts on October 6th, is the sixth installment in the Exorcist film franchise.
Meanwhile, the Taylor Swift: Eras Concert hits theaters everywhere on Friday, October 13th.
