Shawn Mendes reminds his fans to take care of their mental health as he says he treats his anxiety by spending time in nature

Shawn Mendes drew attention to Mental Health Awareness Month on Monday as he used his Instagram platform to interact with fans.

The 24-year-old musical artist — who was recently spotted smoking a cigarette with friends — appeared online to share photos of himself out in nature.

The heartthrob, who revealed he had rekindled his romance with Camila Cabello with kisses at Coachella, was shirtless in some of the outtakes shared in the carousel.

He wrote in a caption to his 72.4 million followers, ‘Honestly sometimes when i’m having bad anxiety doing things like Meditation, journaling & breath work feels really hard to do.’

The star, who in the past has been outspoken about mental health struggles, added, ‘Sometimes i just need REST & go into into nature for a little bit.’

The first snapshot showed the Canadian musician walking through a desert landscape in gray trousers.

The top of his black boxer briefs was visible as his pants were set low at his hips.

Shawn displayed his gym-honed, muscular back as he walked away from the camera.

His caption continued, ‘i’ve found my spots around town that i can escape to for an hour or so when things feel intense & it’s really changed my life. Nature kinda effortlessly heals us.’

He sent off a well wish to his audience as he added, ‘i hope you’re doing okay,’ and finished with the hashtag, ‘#mentalhealthmonth.’

Another image in the roundup showed the tall, fit Hollywood hunk in a tan cable knit sweater and boxer briefs.

Once again, his back was facing the camera as he looked out into a lush scene of grass and trees.

He was barefoot as he stood on a deck and placed his hands on his hips.

There was also an image of Shawn lying down on his back with a crystal placed on his forehead.

The snapshot was red as the In My Blood hitmaker appeared to be in an infrared sauna.

In another selfie he stood in a mirror, showing himself from the chest down as he wore a sweater and coordinating slacks.

Mendes also included a photo of his tattooed hand covered in a rainbow ray of light.

The post received more than one million likes as well as a heap of supportive comments, including one from the app Calm that labeled him a ‘mental health king.’

It comes after last week Shawn was spotted out on a date with on–off girlfriend Camila.

The two attended a comedy show at the Improv on Los Angeles’ Melrose Avenue and were snapped embracing as they arrived at the show.

Afterward, the couple continued their date at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood.

Shawn and Camilla sparked reunion rumors after a video of the two of them sharing a kiss at Coachella surfaced last month.

A source told ET, ‘Shawn and Camila aren’t officially back together, but they are enjoying each other’s company and seeing where things go.’

The couple dated for two years before breaking up in November 2021.

Apparently, the two have been secretly dating again since before they were snapped smooching at music festival.

‘They have hung out several times with friends and alone in recent weeks. They are seeing where things go,’ a source told DailyMail.com.

Last summer the singer–songwriter announced he would be canceling his world tour to focus on his mental health.

Before news of his canceled tour broke, the hitmaker had postponed just some of the gigs.

But it was later confirmed via social media that all dates had been scrapped as he prioritized his wellbeing.

‘I started this tour excited to finally get back to playing live after a long break due to the pandemic, but the reality is I was not at all ready for how difficult touring would be after this time away,’ he explained.
