Scheana Shay reveals Ariana Madix’s eggs were ‘protected and frozen’ WITHOUT ex Tom Sandoval’s sperm

Scheana Shay revealed her friend Ariana Madix’s frozen eggs were not fertilized by her ex Tom Sandoval, who she broke up with in March after nine years of dating. 

Ahead of her former partner’s shocking affair with costar Raquel Leviss, the exes discussed the idea while filming Wednesday’s episode of Vanderpump Rules. 

Fortunately, Shay, 37, confirmed that Madix’s ‘eggs are protected and frozen by themselves with none of that sperm.’ 

‘Thank God,’ the mother-of-one told her guests Mackenzie Dipman and Deb Chubb on her Dear Media podcast, Scheananigans With Scheana Shay.

Before welcoming her two-year-old daughter, Summer, with husband Brock Davies,  Shay and Madix were going through the process together.

While appearing on Shay’s podcast in 2021, Madix told listeners that ‘had a lot of complications’ during her ‘retrieval procedure,’ but was able to freeze 26 eggs.

The Buying Back My Daughter actress made it clear, at the time, that she froze ‘just eggs’ and not embryos despite encouraging her then-beau to join the process.

She went on to say that the bar owner did not take ‘initiative’ to help fertilize her eggs. 

‘As much as people think that he wants to be a dad so bad, he really doesn’t,’ the reality star claimed ahead of his months-long cheating scandal. 

When speaking about the decision to freeze her eggs, Madix told her Instagram followers that she wanted ‘agency over’ her ‘own body’ and ‘future.’

‘It’s also kind of a nice fun f**k you to anybody who questions my values or my choices,’ the star explained.

On the latest episode of Vanderpump Rules, Madix asked Sandoval when he was going to deposit his sperm.

‘Two years ago, I froze my eggs and I was able to retrieve 26 of them, which is like really, really good,’ Ariana said in a confessional.

Ariana proceeded to tell Sandoval not to drink or smoke anything for five days. 

She said that her stance on not wanting to have children hasn’t changed, but that the eggs were just more viable as fertilized embryos.

‘Are you ever going to use these eggs for anything?’ Sandoval asked.

‘I don’t know,’ Ariana said. ‘Maybe, maybe not. I don’t really care if we do, I guess. I mean, I’m not going to get pregnant.’

‘Last year when Ariana asked me to fertilize her eggs, I was excited. I was like yeah, sure, I’ll do it,’ Sandoval said in a confessional. ‘Why would Ariana want me to go fertilize her eggs when we might or might not have kids or whatever she decides?’

Sandoval said it was hard talking to her because she never agrees with him. Sandoval said it felt frustrating and sometimes like she was questioning his intelligence.
