Olivia Wilde celebrates 39th birthday with a cake at star-studded CAA pre-Oscars party in Hollywood… as Don’t Worry Darling costar Florence Pugh also attends amid rumored feud

Olivia Wilde celebrated her 39th birthday in style on Friday night in Hollywood, despite the presence of her former Don’t Worry Darling collaborator Florence Pugh.

The actress-turned-director, who joined with other celebrities at the Saint Laurent directors dinner on Thursday, blew out the candles on her cake at the CAA pre-Oscar party at the Sunset Tower.

The Don’t Worry Darling filmmaker looked stunning in a black tuxedo-inspired suit, as she showcased her toned abs with a silver sequined crop top at the event, which was also attended by her Don’t Worry Darling costar Florence Pugh despite their rumored feud.

The two screen stars didn’t pose for any photos together, and they didn’t appear to catch up with each other during the gathering.

Olivia and Florence previously kept their distance at their film’s Venice Film Festival premiere, when Florence said she had to miss the movie’s press conference due to a late flight, despite being pictured in Venice at the same time the event was being held.

The two also reportedly had friction on set over Florence’s disapproval of Olivia’s relationship with Harry Styles, and an insider claimed to Vulture that they had a shouting matching after Florence was infuriated by Olivia’s alleged frequent absences from the film set.

The Independent Spirit Award winner styled her light brown hair in loose waves and contoured her sculpted features with muted makeup, including a pale pink lip.

The Booksmart director posed for a photo with The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal, 47, who looked dapper in a black leather shirt with a leaf printed on the right shoulder.

The action star kept his beard and mustache closely trimmed and wore black framed glasses. 

Olivia shared a black and white version of the snap in her Instagram stories. The 5’7″ star joked about how she towered over The Last of Us star and made reference to his hit zombie themed HBO drama. 

‘I’m wearing 6 inch heels. In reality I am short and pretty useless in an apocalypse.’ 

The Life Itself actress was treated to another confection at dinner by her friend, Conscious Commerce co-founder Babs Burchfield.

In an interview with Variety, the director was quite coy.

‘I will say that I think the Marvel approach of allowing newer filmmakers to come into the fold and have access to those tools of the Marvel universe is incredibly exciting.’

‘I am a big fan of what they’re doing over there,’ she admitted, ‘but, yeah, I can’t confirm whether that is what that is.’
