Natalie Portman puts on an elegant display in cream pantsuit – but forgoes wearing her wedding ring – as she speaks at United Nations summit in NYC amid ‘marital woes’

Natalie Portman took the stage and participated in a discussion at the United Nations Sustainable Development SDG Summit 2023 on Monday.

At the event in New York City, the 42-year-old Black Swan actress spoke about accelerating gender equality and shared her thoughtful insights on the topic.

She proved that her beauty is matched by her intelligence as she discussed the topic at hand — From Equality to Equity: Empowering Women and Girls Everywhere.

Amid claims she is currently on the rocks with husband Benjamin Millepied due to cheating allegations, she dressed to the nines and forwent her wedding ring.

She looked elegant in a cream pantsuit with a contrasting, black double-breasted collar and stripes down the side of her trousers.

Last month, reports emerged that Portman and the French choreographer were struggling through marriage woes.

It was speculated that the pair were headed for divorce after he allegedly had an affair with climate change activist Camille Étienne.

Portman and Millepied have been married for 11 years and share two children together — son Aleph, 12, and daughter Amalia, six. 

Keeping her mind off of her personal troubles, she spoke at the event about ‘investing in girls and girls’ education’ as well as ‘girls’ and women’s safety’.

‘We have very ingrained bias against women and girls that we really need to combat,’ she told Melissa Fleming, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications.

The pair also spoke about the ‘threat and danger’ of social media to women’s health and safety.

She also touched on being an owner of the Angel City FC and spoke about how she was inspired when she saw her son admiring women soccer players with respect the same way he viewed their male counterparts.

According to the official summary of the United Nations meeting, the overall chat was about how ‘the world remains off track to achieve gender equality by 2030’.

The topic at hand explained: ‘While it is the foundation for peaceful and prosperous societies, issues such as the Covid-19 pandemic has meant that any progress which has been made was paused, or reverted.’
