MASH actress Judy Farrell dead at 84: The star played Nurse Able opposite Alan Alda and also appeared in Get Smart and The Partridge Family
Hollywood actress Judy Farrell has died at the age of 84, TMZÂ shared on Tuesday.
She passed on Sunday in a hospital after suffering from a massive stroke nine days prior, the site reported.Â
The star was best known for working on the long-running smash-hit TV series MASH, about the Mobile Army Surgical Hospital care for the injured during the Korean War.
The drama aired from 1972 until 1983 and won numerous Emmy Awards.
Judy played Nurse Able opposite acclaimed actor Alan Alda, who played Captain Hawkeye Pierce.
She was also married to her MASH costar Mike Farrell, who played BJ Hunnicutt, from 1963 until 1983.Â
Judy also made appearances on the well-known TV series Get Smart and The Partridge Family.

Judy’s son, Michael, spoke to the news outlet this week to break the sad news of her passing.
Michael shared that she died in the hospital with her loved ones around her.
She was not able to speak but could hold hands with her family and was ‘alert’ before she passed away.
Last week she suffered from a large stroke that incapacitated her and kept her from speaking.
She worked on a total of eight episodes of MASH as she played the blonde beauty with a Malibu tan.
In her scenes she worked with Alda’s acerbic Hawkeye.
