Joseph Baena showcases his chiseled abs in new photos… after following dad Arnold Schwarzenegger’s lead by winning a major role in action film

He recently followed in his famous father’s footsteps by scoring a major role in a high-profile action film.

And now Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son Joesph Baena is showcasing the similarities between musclebound father and son by sharing photos of his muscular torso.

The 25-year-old bodybuilder-turned-actor posted a trio of striking black-and-white images of himself flexing so as to show off his ripped washboard abs on Friday.

He proved that he was in great shape for his upcoming role, which will see him acting opposite stars Luke Hemsworth and Morgan Freeman.

‘Prepared for anything!’ Joseph captioned his post. 

He posed outdoors in the images, with scenic mountains out of focus in the distant background.

The focus was clearly on his abs and massive biceps, but he also wore a pair of jeans and tied what looked like a white handkerchief across his forehead.

He raised his arms up for a pose and also shared a photo in profile to accent his trim figure. 

Joseph appeared to have snapped the photos on a rainy days, as a few rain drops could be seen whizzing by the camera. 

The photos were posted just days after his father Arnold was seen hitting up the iconic Gold’s Gym in Venice Beach with fellow action film legend Dolph Lundgren.

Deadline reported on Thursday that Baena had been cast in the film Gunner, which was written and will be directed by Dimitri Logotheti.

He will portray a character named Wally, who is a young, wet-behind-the-ears Deputy Sheriff. 

According to the industry news publication, the film is centered around Special Forces veteran Lee Gunner (Hemsworth) as he takes his two sons on a camping trip during which they stumble upon a fentanyl lab and are kidnapped by drug runners.

However, Gunner will stop at nothing to get his boys back safely as he not only faces off against a criminal cartel but also the FBI and local police as he uses his special training to bring his family back together.

Later on Thursday, Joseph shared a photo from on set that showed home sitting on the edge of a pool table while wearing a sheriff’s uniform.

‘Deputy Wally reporting for duty,’ he captioned it. 

While he currently works as a real estate agent, Baena has been putting in the footwork to become a working actor like his Terminator dad. 

Last year, he landed his first major role in John Malkovich’s upcoming sci-fi film Chariot.

He also starred in Bully High and one episode of Scam Squad. Baena’s acting career is certainly starting off well, as he has five upcoming films including Gunner and another action flick titled Called To Duty, which is currently in post-production.

Famous dad Schwarzenegger shares Baena with Mildred Baena, who was formerly his family’s housekeeper. 

News of the affair between Arnold and Mildred didn’t break until 2011, though Baena was born in 1997.

Becoming a working actor: While Joseph currently works as a real estate agent, he has been putting in the footwork to become a working actor like his Terminator dad

Arnold has four other children: Katherine, Patrick, Christopher and Christina. He shares all of them with his ex-wife Maria Shriver. 

Joseph appeared on Dancing with the Stars this past season, and it clearly did his body some favors.

Last year Joseph told Men’s Health that he was eventually able to connect with his father over their shared love for bodybuilding and fitness.

The pair are often seen pumping iron together in Los Angeles and Baena even dressed up like Arnold’s iconic hero Conan the Barbarian for Dancing With The Stars.
