Jessica Simpson shared a new photo to promote her Jessica Simpson Collection on Monday.

The performer looked like a Hollywood pinup in her summer white dress that showed off her toned legs as she added strappy zebra print heels.

The Employee Of The Month actress also had on turquoise and silver jewelry and her long blonde hair was worn in soft beach waves over her shoulders.

On that same day, she posted a ‘kinda’ makeup-free close up photo with a funny note.

’43 makeup free (kinda. Ha. I did curl my lashes),’ the clothing designer wrote in her Instagram caption for her 6.3million followers.

She wrote ‘kinda’ because it appeared as if she had plenty of makeup, like foundation and lip gloss.

Her hair was pulled back which was a different look for the former reality TV star as she often wears her long blonde locks down over her shoulders in soft waves.

Her fans loved the look and some celebrities chimed in.

Kelly Rowland shared, ‘HAPPY BORNDAY JESSICA!’ 

Rachel Zoe added, ‘Hbd Jess! We are finally the same age!’ 

She received 50,000 likes in one hour. 

Simpson looked vibrant in the new post. Her makeup was minimal and her hair pulled back, but there was more to this glowing photo.

The Public Affair singer had a magenta scarf around her neck and added large hoop earrings and a necklace with five pointy diamonds.

The five likely represents her, husband Eric Johnson and their three kids: Maxwell, Knute and Birdie.

Her birthday comes just days after she shared with Bustle that she had a recent illness that sent her to the ER in a hospital.

She told the publication that in June she woke up with ‘a sharp pain’ in her stomach which made her ‘freaked out.’ 

The doctors discovered a twist in her colon that they fixed, the site said.

But two days later she was back in the ER.

‘I get an MRI,’ she shared.

‘I’m lying there, waiting for the results.’ 

The site said she ‘pauses for dramatic effect.’

Simpson added, ‘Basically they said, I’m full of s***. My diagnosis is, I’m full of s***!

‘They gave me all these drinks and they were like, “OK, if you s*** three times you can leave.” And I’m pounding these things so I can get out of there to get home to put my kids to bed.’

Most of her Bustle article was about her fashion line.

She reclaimed her fashion label The Jessica Simpson Collection in 2021 after a lengthy battle to wrestle back control.

The company was founded in 2005 and then Sequential Brands bought a major stake in the business in 2015, before filing for bankruptcy in August 2021.

Before Sequential imploded financially, Jessica and her mom Tina stepped in to save her brand – which, in 2015, reached sales of $1 billion.

Sequential purchased a majority stake in the brand at the time for $353 million, with Jessica and Tina retaining a 37 percent share of the business.

In an interview with Bustle, Jessica said: ‘[Sequential was] headed to bankruptcy. I wanted to make sure we did not get caught up in all that.

Tina – who divorced Jessica’s dad Joe in April 2013 – added: ‘Honestly, she did reach out to me to borrow money. And I said to her, ‘Yeah, let’s talk about it.’

‘In buying the brand back, I told her, if you’re sure you want to do this, you’re just going to have to tighten up your belt a little bit.

‘You’re going to have to not live not quite as extravagantly.’

In May 2022, The Jessica Simpson Collection secured a $67.5 million loan from Second Avenue Capital Partners, which will allow the mother/daughter team to invest money back into their company, and they now have plans to launch a hair-care extension in 2024.

The slim beauty also denied she used Ozempic to get thin. She said she lost 100lbs all on her own after welcoming her third child with husband Eric Johnson. 

The former reality TV star insisted that it is simply ‘willpower’ and shunning alcohol that has resulted in her thin and toned figure.

Also in her Bustle interview, the 42-year-old Dukes Of Hazzard actress seemed to take a swipe at ex-husband Nick Lachey, whom she did her TV show Newlweds with.

And she also laughed – but did not deny – that Mark Wahlberg was the big ‘movie star’ that treated her like a ‘call girl.’
