Jenna Ortega was coerced into doing the ‘Wednesday dance’ one more time in a hilarious promo clip to promote her upcoming Saturday Night Live hosting gig.
The 20-year-old actress – who revealed she was given just two days to choreograph the dance which became a viral sensation – appeared in a two-minute video alongside the three-man Please Don’t Destroy comedy group released Wednesday.
In it she addresses the trio consisting of Ben Marshal, John Higgins, and Martin Herlihy after reading a script they have handed her.
Jenna says: ‘Honestly this is all really well written, I just don’t feel like I want to do the Wednesday dance for promo because we’ve seen so much of that already and I think it’s time to do something new.’
The camera then zooms out into a wider shot to hilariously reveal the comedy group fully dressed in the costume from her Netflix series.

They pretend like they are okay with not doing it and try to play it off like they aren’t dressed like Wednesday Addams.
Martin says: ‘It wouldn’t be a dream come true for us to do the dance with you so let’s just not do it then.’
John replies: ‘I barely know it,’ before mimicking the hand movements of the highly-popular dance.
Jenna then reluctantly agrees to do it as she says: ‘Okay, fine’ and the trio get really excited.
It then cuts to Martin and John excitedly doing the dance while flanking Jenna who looks totally uninterested while hitting the moves.
Ben is shown filming it on a cell phone as he says: ‘Perfect. We got it guys.’
Jenna then asks the important but hilarious question: “Wait, you put that stuff on just to film it?’
She will host the upcoming March 11 episode of Saturday Night Live with musical guest The 1975.

Jenna informed Jimmy that she ‘didn’t sleep for two days’ and watched numerous videos to gather ideas, such as watching ‘archival footage of Goth kids dancing in clubs in the ’80s.’
The Scream actress stated that Netflix had told her that the dance would go viral on TikTok but that she didn’t believe it. ‘And then they were right,’ she humorously added.
