Idina Menzel looks glam in an eclectic floral look for intimate gig at Grammy Museum… as she’s latest star to ‘dump’ manager Scooter Braun

Idina Menzel promoted her upcoming Drama Queen album on Tuesday night at the Grammy Museum in downtown Los Angeles.

The Frozen actress, 52, looked glamorous in a black top and pants over which she wore an eclectic, long jacket with an asymmetrical hem.

The jacket had brown, white and gold fabric flowers affixed to it and she paired it with a pair of black shoes.

Idina’s raven hair was sleekly straight and parted in the middle for the occasion.

The event was to celebrate her latest album and featured a performance by her as well as a conversation about the process of making the album.

The  new album dropped on August 18 and it marks a departure from Menzel’s previous work.

‘Menzel showcases her powerhouse vocals through disco-infused beats and soaring anthems,’ the description for the event at the Grammy Museum read.

‘As American Songwriter reported, ‘On Drama Queen, Menzel sings like the great dance and disco diva vocalists of the ’70s and ’80s,” it continued. 

The description went on to compare the vocals on Menzel’s new album to Cher and Celine Dion. 

The Wicked actress has released three singles from her new album – Move, Dramatic and Beast. 

It was also reported this week that the Tony winner is yet another celebrity managed by Scooter Braun that has fired him.

She signed with the beleaguered talent manager in 2019 and left him in January, according to THR.

Demi Lovato and J Balvin have also left Braun and it’s rumored that Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande have as well, though there are conflicting reports on that.

Braun, 42, took to Twitter/X to crack a joke in the midst of all the defections from his SB Projects.

‘Breaking news… I’m no longer managing myself,’ he tweeted on Tuesday.

News also broke that Braun was stepping away from the day-to-day management of talent to focus on his role as the CEO of HYBE America.

HYBE America is the South Korean entertainment company behind the K-Pop sensation BTS.

Braun is best known for discovering Bieber and buying Taylor Swift’s masters only to flip them months later and sell them to a private equity firm.
