A release date for the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition reboot has yet to be confirmed.
The reboot appears to be in the early stages of production, given that ABC has yet to confirm an episode count for the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition reboot.
It’s also unclear if Ty Pennington, the original host, will return for an appearance.
Pennington, who has yet to comment on the reboot, has been keeping busy hosting the third season of HGTV’s Battle on the Beach.
Pennington hosted the original Extreme Makeover: Home Edition series for nine seasons when it originally aired from 2004 to 2012.
The original Extreme Makeover: Home Edition series was cancelled by ABC in 2012.
The home renovation series was then picked up by HGTV in 2020, with Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson picking up Pennington’s hosting mantle.

It’s safe to presume that the Netflix home renovation series Get Organized with the Home Edit will either be cancelled or return with brand new hosts.
Shearer conveyed her excitement over the news on her Instagram page, telling her followers to ‘stay tuned for casting news.’
The upcoming Extreme Makeover: Home Edition reboot will be produced by actress Reese Witherspoon’s production company Hello Sunshine, in addition to Endemol Shine North America.
After new episodes air live on ABC, fans will be able to stream episodes of the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition reboot on Hulu.
