Brooke Shields is 58! The star celebrates her birthday in New York… after emotional fallout from her documentary that detailed harassment when she was a child

Brooke Shields has celebrated another trip around the sun. 

The actress, who turned 58 Wednesday, shared a couple of photos from her birthday dinner on social media. 

The Golden Globe nominee star who celebrated her 22nd wedding anniversary with husband Chris Henchy, 59, just days before, glowed in the light of the sparkling birthday candle in the sweet snaps shared on Instagram. 

The pictures show the talented star and her party enjoying an al fresco dinner at the 9 Jones restaurant in New York. 

Brooke looked ageless in a sleeveless orange top, showcasing her toned biceps. 

The Glamorous star wore natural looking makeup and styled her long brown hair in loose waves. 

The Suddenly Susan star donned a pair of gold rimmed glasses for the evening.  

She accessorized with a a gold bangle and wore several rings on each hand. 

Another photo showed her kissing the chocolate disc set atop her cake which read ‘Happy Birthday Mom.’

The Flower Shop Mysteries star and her writer/producer husband are parents to daughters Rowan, 20, and Grier, 17. 

The Creative Galaxy star has opened up about her difficult childhood in the documentary Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields. 

The two-part film was released in January and began streaming on Hulu in early April. 

The movie was produced by ABC studios and has become the most-watched program out of all their launches to ever debut on Hulu, as reported by Variety. 

‘We’re thrilled with the overwhelmingly positive response to this riveting story that needed to be told and is striking a chord and resonating with audiences around the world,’ ABC News president Kim Godwin told the outlet.

Documentary: Brooke stopped by Live with Kelly and Mark Thursday to talk about the documentary Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields, which began streaming successfully on Hulu in early April

The movie explores many aspects of Brooke’s career as a child actress, including how she was sexualized at a very young age.  

Brooke stopped by Live with Kelly and Mark Wednesday, wearing a strapless mustard toned linen top and matching pants, to chat up the doc, and shared about its impact on her family. 

‘For instance, Rowan said to me, “I’m never going to read your book mom,” and I said, “okay, you don’t have to read my book,”‘ The Blue Lagoon star told hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.

‘There are bits about it, things that happened to me, sexually, that I don’t think they… they don’t see their mother that way,’ she explained.

Upset: Brooke, who shares daughters Rowan, 20, and Grier, 17 with her husband Chris Henchy, said after seeing the film, her girls were  most upset about how she was treated by the media. ‘The way they hammered at me, that, really, my daughters took real offense to that,’ she said

However what upset her girls the most was how Brooke was treated by the media.  

‘The thing that they really hooked into was difficult the journalists were with me as a young person,’ she explained. 

‘The way they hammered at me, that, really, my daughters took real offense to that.’ noting she was only 12 when the film Pretty Baby, about a young girl living and eventually working in a New Orleans brothel, was released. 

‘It was so interesting looking back at all the material,’ the Endless Love star said,’ because my mom saved everything, and it was just all archival, and I never wanted to do a documentary,’ she asserted.

‘It was super brave,’ Kelly told her.  ‘Thank you,’ Brooke replied modestly.
