Bill Murray made it very clear he was with someone when attending the Screen Actors Guild Awards held inside the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.
The 72-year-old former Saturday Night Live actor – who had difficulty entering the awards show – was seen holding hands with 73-year-old Hollywood actress Jeannie Berlin who was at the event because she was part of the cast for The Fabelmans; Berlin played Hadassah Fabelman.
The Caddyshack star stayed very close to Berlin, who is the daughter of Ishtar actress Elaine May and political activist Marvin May.
They also held hands as they left their hotel in Beverly Hills hotel, the exclusive Hotel Bel-Air, before the event took place.
It is a rare move for Murray to put on any display of affection with a woman at a star-studded event as he usually arrives alone.

He has also been married twice: to Jennifer Butler from 1997 until 2008 and to Margaret Kelly from 1981 until 1996.
Berlin is an actress and screenwriter.
She is best-known for her role in the 1972 comedy film The Heartbreak Kid, for which she received Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for Best Supporting Actress.
Bill wore a black tuxedo with a colorful bow tie and shiny black dress shoes with mustard-colored socks.
Berlin had on a black tuxedo suit over a black lace camisole, with dark sunglasses and diamond jewelry.
Her shoes were black with a thick high heels as she held onto a silver and black clutch purse.

Murray was among a group of people who were temporarily blocked from entering packed a SAG Awards ballroom at the the Fairmont Century Plaza hotel in Los Angeles Sunday, over fire safety protocols.
Variety co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh took to Twitter with a clip from inside the ceremony at the venue, where he panned around a crowded room packed with celebs and others dressed for the luxe event.
‘Total chaos at the SAG Awards as Claire Foy and Rooney Mara are not being allowed inside the ballroom of the Fairmont Hotel — they’re told they need to wait for the Fire Marshal to let them and hundreds of other guests inside,’ Setoodeh said.
He added: ‘Even Bill Murray has to wait. This is madness!’
In the clip, Murray was seen looking around the room, while Foy, 38, and Mara, 37, were seen in discussion with others.

The A-list actor has past been nominated for three SAG Awards: In 2016, for A Very Murray Christmas; in 2016, for group honors for The Grand Budapest Hotel; and in 2004 for Lost in Translation.
The schematics were figured out by 5 p.m. local time, when the broadcast of the event began streaming, Page Six reported, citing social media posts.
A number of Twitter users were unmoved by the disruption to the stars.
Said one user: ‘Oh poor things. They have to wait a bit for people to do their jobs,’ with a rolling eyes face emoji.
Another said, ‘Madness? Really? My god you’ve had a privileged life. How dare that damned marshal follow safety protocols…just to make your life inconvenient.’
One user suggested organizers ‘should have booked a bigger venue’ or ensured ‘they cleared it with the fire marshal first before inviting’ too many attendees, adding, ‘or better yet only invite those people nominated for awards and then check the seat count after and then start inviting more.’
