The 51-year-old actor, writer and director was spotted in Santa Monica, California, as he rushed to his car after stopping off at a business, only to arrive after the meter had seemingly expired.
A member of Santa Monica’s traffic enforcement team was seen leaving a parking ticket under the wiper of Ben’s car.
His minor parking mishap occurred around the same time that his wife Jennifer Lopez, 54, was spotted elsewhere in Los Angeles while taking care of her own business.
She and Ben were pictured over the weekend having a ‘tense’ conversation in a car in which he appeared to be speaking animatedly, while she at times looked away and was stone-faced.

Ben was dressed casually for his day out in a slim gray sweater that he wore with the sleeves rolled up to show off her toned forearms.
He had on a blue shirt underneath the sweater, and he paired them with slim black jeans.
The Gone Girl star completed his ensemble with some cool black, white and gray Nike high tops, and he sported standard salt-and-pepper beard with slightly tousled hair.
Ben appeared to grimace as he realized that he was too late to move his car before getting a ticket, though the actor — who has a $150 million net worth, according to Celebrity Net Worth — can afford it without breaking a sweat.
The Last Duel star appeared to be in a hurry, because he was seen driving away from the location after getting his ticket without even removing it from under his windshield wiper.
The car he was driving appeared to be the same one he was behind the wheel of when he was pictured having his seemingly emotional chat with Jennifer over the weekend.
At the time, an eyewitness told DailyMail.com that Jennifer could be seen listening ‘intently’ to Ben.
He briefly continued his monologue after parking, and she reportedly ‘looked away’ from him at one point in the conversation ‘as if processing what he was saying.’

However, a source close to Ben and Jennifer told DailyMail.com that the two are ‘very much in love with each other’ still.
Some outlets had previously reported that Jennifer was ‘absolutely furious’ after photos were published of Ben spending time with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Photos from earlier this month showed Ben affectionately resting his head on Jennifer’s shoulder while giving her a ride in his Mercedes, and she was also pictured giving him a hug on the outing.
However, the playful look on his face suggested he may have been putting on a silly display for comedic effect, and his middle child Seraphina was in the passenger seat next to him — while Jennifer was in the back seat — indicating that nothing untoward had happened.
The source also told DailyMail.com that Ben’s current with J.Lo helped to strengthen his co-parenting relationship with his ex Jennifer, and then said that the two women have a friendly rapport.
