Alec Baldwin was spotted out and about in New York City on Wednesday, weeks after undergoing hip surgery.
The recovering 65-year-old actor used a single crutch for support as he held his phone to his ear, holding a conversation as he walked.
The father-of-eight, who shares seven young children with wife Hilaria Baldwin, was dressed in black.
The Saturday Night Live alum wore a lightweight jacket over a maroon t-shirt, black pants, and black leather loafers.
Later on Wednesday morning, Alec took to Instagram to congratulate Hilaria, 39, on her Romper magazine cover story.

During his solo outing, Alec’s graying hair was parted on the side and neatly slicked back.
He had a stubbly shadow of a white-gray beard and carried a bottled beverage in his hand.
The longtime entertainer wore a watch on his left wrist, the same arm he used for his crutch.
It comes after Hilaria opened to Extra about raising their brood and becoming grandparents.
The Boston native told the publication, ‘The kids, they are good. We’re finishing up school.
‘I’ve got Carmen, who’s becoming a tween, and I have tiny little baby, and then every single thing right in between. So, it’s a lot of juggling, but it’s a lot of fun in our house.’
The yogi added that the parents, who married in 2012, strive to instill a sense of self-worth in each of their kids.
‘It’s all about embracing chaos and teaching them that every single thing that they feel is important and that they should be heard and seen. And, you know, just embraced as an individual,’ the star said.
Hilaria also noted that ‘I love being a mom, obviously, more than anything else.’

The couple share Carmen, 9, Rafael, 8 in July, Leonardo, 6, Romeo, 5, Eduardo, 2, María Lucía, 2, and Ilaria, 8 months.
Alec also shares 27-year-old daughter Ireland Baldwin – who recently welcomed her first child – with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
In the conversation with the entertainment news outlet, Hilaria added: ‘I think there’s so much focus on negativity. There’s always positive news, there’s always positive people. And so, it’s the question of leaning into that.’
‘And I have to remind myself and I have my core group of friends who are always checking me,’ she stressed.
The star also said, ‘You know, we are forever grateful to the people who lift us up and hold us in our hard times. And that might be as close as somebody in our family or one of our dearest, dearest friends.
‘Or it could be somebody on the street who is just giving us a random hug or saying something very kind and supportive.’
Hilaria also gave an update on her husband’s health following his second hip replacement.
‘He did his first hip when I was very pregnant with Romeo, who’s now 5, and I was, like, lifting him out of bed. And he was the man patient.
‘And this time around, he has been very proactive about his healing. And he has started physical therapy right away and is getting up and walking every day,’ she explained.
Night out: The parents stepped out for the 2023 PEN America Literary Gala in May
On the topic of her and her spouse’s new grandchild after step-daughter Ireland gave birth, Mrs. Baldwin gushed, ‘Holland just turned a month and she’s delicious.’
She continued, ‘And it’s so fun to see Ireland as a mom. I wish I was as secure as she is. I was just so insecure when I had my first, and Ireland really knows herself and just has really embraced motherhood with such warmth and security.’
Although she’s a young grandmother, Hilaria is embracing her new role with open arms.
‘I have to say, grandma shopping is so fun, like, sending them different things,’ she remarked.
Hilaria also dished about Alec, ‘One of the things that I love about having so many kids with Alec is that he was one of so many kids.
‘Alec has such admiration for mothers, so to watch him look at Ireland and embrace her as a mom, it’s beautiful to see him with Ireland and to see another baby in the Baldwin world.’
Following Ireland’s delivery of her baby girl, Hilaria took to Instagram to share a photo of herself, her husband, and her kids with a heartfelt caption.
‘All of these aunties and uncles and us grandparents are so excited that Holland is here!!! Congratulations to the mama and papa, Ireland and Andre,’ she wrote. ‘We love you so very much!’

Alec celebrated his wife’s Romper feature by sharing a photo from the spread with his 2.5 million followers.
The 30 Rock alum wrote, ‘Great article in @romper. I love you @hilariabaldwin. Our children and I are lucky to have you …link in bio.’
Photos for the profile were snapped by photographer Victor Demarchelier and show the hands-on mother in her element with all of her children.
The New York University alum revealed to the outlet that, ‘This is probably, most definitely, almost completely my last baby,’ although she admitted she is not on birth control.
The fitness enthusiast explained that she relinquished her sense of control after welcoming her third child.
‘With two, I felt like I could still have a level of control; I was trying to micromanage everything. And once I got to three, I just released and was like, “OK, it’s going to be chaos. We are outnumbered. You’ve got to let it go.”‘
In the piece, Alec praised his wife, gushing that he is ‘madly in love’ with her.
‘I admire her, and I have faith in her integrity. She’s incredibly decent, and she’s obviously a beautiful woman. I’m madly in love with her.
‘And she can be a gigantic pain in the *ss sometimes, but that’s marriage. But I feel like I know a lot of friends of mine who get into a routine and everything’s about their kids.
‘Who has more of a reason to make everything about our kids but us with so many, yet we still try to hold onto some time for ourselves,’ he reflected.
