90 Day Fiancé’s Brandan is on the phone with ‘insecure’ girlfriend almost 24/7 and she even wants to talk to him during his TEETH CLEANING as seen in season five teaser: ‘She’s very clingy’

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way will introduce codependent couple Brandan and Mary in the upcoming season five premiere.

In a teaser obtained by People, the two personalities, who are in a long-distance relationship, deal with jealousy and trust issues.

One particular instance shows Brandan going to a dentist appointment while Mary follows via a FaceTime call to keep an eye on Brandan’s interactions with a female dental assistant.

In the clip Brandan shares with viewers that ‘Mary wants to know what I’m doing, and she’s very clingy, and I really like that because I’m kind of the same way.’

The 23-year-olds are the youngest couple featured on the latest installment of the TLC series.

‘We have very similar past histories. Our exes cheated on us, and it contributes to our jealousy and insecurity issues,’ Brandan explained in a confessional.

He added, ‘So being on the phone 24/7 helps give that reassurance that we’re not doing anything that we shouldn’t be.’

In the snippet, Brandan is shown arriving at the dentist office and asking if his phone can be set where Mary can view the consultation.

Two years into their relationship, Brandan shares that he has started to ‘get anxious and tense up when I’m around other women now because I don’t want to fight with Mary.’

Things take a turn for the worse after the dental assistant asks if Mary is his ‘first love’ and he says that she is not.

It provokes tears from Mary as she calls out her boyfriend, saying, ‘You lied to me. You said I’m your first love, but now you said I’m not.’

Brandan tries to quell the situation by explaining to Mary that he said it because she is not his first girlfriend.

But it only makes matters worse as Mary then states that she also has an ex.

TLC stated in a press release that, ‘Brandan and Mary spend every waking (and sleeping) hour on video call with each other.’

It continued, ‘This obsessive and possessive behavior has led their friends and families to oppose the relationship, but not being together is no longer an option for these two.’

The duo – who have never met in person – have ‘made extraordinary sacrifices to prove their love to one another, and Brandan has invested everything he has into building a home for them in the Philippines.’

Teasing what’s to come, it ends, ‘There’s no turning back and no backup plan, but Brandan is in for a rude awakening before his plane has even left the ground.’

The show will premiere Monday, July 10 at 8pm ET.
