Finally, after more than three consecutive months of riots, arson, mob violence, and mayhem in cities such as Portland Oregon, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and the Democratic Party are changing their tune. After entire neighborhoods in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Seattle were practically burnt down by arsonists under the guise of progressive, peaceful protest, Joe Biden is apparently taking a stand and condemning these events. An effort that is just too little too late.
Here’s why.
AHistoryofSupportingViolence
Astute observers know Democratic leadership has consistently called upon its base to not only support mob violence and mayhem but to actively engage in it.
We all remember Democratic Congressional Representative Maxine Waters calling upon her base publicly to accost members of the Trump administration:
“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out, and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”
We have seen Democratic Congressional Representative Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts asserting in a recent interview that there needs to be more unrest in the streets as opposed to less. On top of that, Democratic Vice Presidential candidate and California Senator Kamala Harris told an interviewer on national television that the riots need to continue and should not be stopped.
Every week that the violence continues, radical Leftwing Democratic Representatives like Alexandra Ocasio Cortez bask in it, celebrate it, and cherish the newfound political power they continue to attain in the wake of the unrest.
So, armed with the current and previous unrest as an insurance policy, it’s been game on for the Democrats since day one, operating in a political gray area, not only conspicuously not condemning the violence of the mobs but actively endorsing it.
AGiganticStrategicalBlunder
Here’s where the Left fumbled in their strategic calculations.
The Democrats didn’t take into consideration the will of the American people. If they had only taken a moment to take a step back and assess the general pulse of the American public, they would have seen that dissatisfaction with violence in the streets is skyrocketing.
On August 28th, we watched Republican Senator from Kentucky, Rand Paul, violently accosted on the public streets of Washington DC as he and others left the Republican National Convention. This event should make you think. What do and don’t I want as an American?
- Americans want safety and security.
- Americans want the freedom to engage in healthy, vigorous political discourse.
- Americans DON’T want to live in fear of violence, oppression, or wrongful persecution.
As exhaustion from coverage of street violence overwhelms the American electorate, the Democrats suddenly seem to realize that their strategic alliance with riots, mayhem, and murder isn’t polling too well.
TheOl’Switcharoo
So, as if on a well-greased swivel, the Democrat’s Presidential candidate Joe Biden, assuming you would not notice or remark, suddenly condemns violence and calls for peace.
This policy switch is an example of predictable, cynical and shallow pandering to the whim of political winds, conjuring images of a well-fed Leftist bureaucrat with his or her finger to the wind, checking the direction in which they should shift their core values and beliefs.
The Democrats have supported and encouraged the mindless destruction raging across the country. Now that the truth about how the American people feel has become overwhelmingly apparent, the Left violently shifts course in another direction, blaming Trump for the environment facilitating the unrest rather than looking in the mirror and taking responsibility for their betrayal.
The national cost to businesses will be calculated in the billions of billions. Like many other Democrat cities across this nation, Portland will continue to experience the mass exodus of people and businesses continuing the cripple the city’s local population. How many more people have to die before Democrat mayors stop blaming Trump and start taking responsibility?
Any condemnation of violence at this point from Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and the Left is simply too little too late.
